Buzz H. F. Coomer, Jr.

“Buzz” H. F. Coomer, Jr., 90, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was born on Tuesday, October 31, 1933 to the late Hollis F. Coomer, Sr. and Helen (Pace) Fox. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary I. (Kuhn) Coomer.

Buzz was a proud Army veteran. He was a faithful member of his church, Holy Spirit, and was a very active volunteer for his church and participated in the bowling league. Buzz was a BB gun team coach and a part of the Knights of Columbus. More than anything he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Anthony Coomer and wife Elizabeth and Matt Coomer and girlfriend Erica Boyer; grandchildren, Aaron, Simon, Angela, and Clare Coomer, and Adam Earnest. He is predeceased by his siblings, Gloria Grab, Audrey Hill, and Robert Coomer.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 11AM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 300 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Father Anthony Dill officiating. A time of visitation will take place from 10AM until the start of Mass. Burial will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to his church, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Palmyra.
