Billy Ray Standridge, 78, of Marietta, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at the Hershey Medical Center. He was born on Friday, October 10, 1941, in Morgan County, Alabama. He was the son of the late Julius and Ruby (Williams) Standridge. He married Carol A. (Herr) Standridge on July 21, 1989.

Billy Ray enjoyed fiddling around the house and tinkering with cars and lawn mowers. He loved to spend time with his family and friends telling stories of things he had done. He worked in the processing department at Kellogg’s, Lancaster, for over 29 years until retirement in December of 2006.

In addition to his wife of over 31 years, he is survived by two children: Donna McCrary, married to John, of Hartselle, Alabama and Michael Standridge, married to Ranea, of Vinemont, Alabama. Also surviving are three step-children: Larry Herr, married to Sharon, of Washington Boro; Kevin Herr, married to Michele, of Lancaster; Michelle Gotshall, of Hummelstown; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, as well as Billy Ray’s extended family and caring friends.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Smedley-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 29 North Gay Street, Marietta, PA 17547, 717-426-3614.
