Beverly J. (Young) Byrne

Beverly Joan (Young) Byrne, 79, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of Palmyra, passed away in her home surround by family on Wednesday, January 25, 2017.  She was born Wednesday, August 18, 1937 in Kentucky to the late Theodore Rooselvelt and Pauline (Beverley) Young.  She is survived by her loving husband Robert Eugene Byrne.

Beverly was a chemist for Weirton Steel in West Virginia.  She loved music and was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ’s choir.  She formerly attended Salem United Church of Christ.  Beverly was an avid traveler and took a strong interest in family genealogy.  Most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

In addition to her husband Beverly is survived by a daughter, Adrienne L. Byrne; a son, Timothy B. Byrne and wife Cheryl; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer Perez, Jessica Fuchs, Morgan and Madison Lutz, Andrew and Connor Byrne, and Justin and Jordan Hoachlander; 5 great-grandchildren, Ramses Perez, Jr., Aralyn and Sadi Byrne, Dahlya Lutz, and Quinn Fuchs.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Christine F. Linamen.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 11 AM at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078 with Rev. Dwight C. Hein officiating.  Family and friends are invited for viewing from 10 AM until time of the service.  Burial will follow the service in the Salem UCC Cemetery, Campbelltown.
