Betty Jane (Steele) Beach

Betty Jane Beach, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 after a long struggle with Parkinson’s Disease.  She died in her sleep at Masonic Village of Elizabethtown, PA.  She had resided there since August 2017.  Betty Jane was born in Huntingdon, PA and was the daughter of Effie and Carl Steele.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-sister, Ruth, and her daughter Ruth Ann Beach.  In addition to Lee, her beloved husband of 65 years, she is survived by her three children:  Susan (married to Randy) Wyant of Clifton, VA; Melissa (married to Jim) Hartsell of Elm City, NC and Rebecca (married to Tim) Kennedy of Bainbridge, PA, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

She graduated with her RN from Polyclinic Nursing School in September 1952.  She worked at J.C Blair Memorial Hospital, Baily Nursing Home and retired in 1994 as the 3 - 11 Nursing Supervisor from Masonic Village of Elizabethtown, PA.

Betty Jane was a long time member of Mt. Calvary Church of Elizabethtown.  Serving the Lord and people in many ways over the years have been the  trademarks of her life of faith.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Mount Calvary Church, 625 Holly Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022.  A time of visitation will follow the service on Friday.  Private interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville, PA.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.

Contributions in honor of Betty Jane may be made to the Mt. Calvary Church’s Missionary Fund.  The family appreciates all the prayers and support during Betty Jane’s illness.
