Betty Jean (Kelly) Viscome

Betty Jean Viscome left this world at 4:44 on December 27, 2022. Her entire family was with her the afternoon before she passed and said good-bye to this very special woman. Betty was the most loving, kind, generous, caring woman any family could have and her immediate children knew quite well how truly special she was.

Born and raised in Fulton, New York, she met her husband Frank in her hometown and spent many wonderful years with him. They built a business together and spent all their time with each other building their business, visiting with family and traveling.

Betty leaves behind three children: Nick and his wife Gail, Tom, Barbara and her husband Mike. . Betty also had several amazing grand children: Barbara’s daughters Emily and Sarah, Nick’s children Laura, and her husband Josh, Julia and Curt. Her great grandchildren are Laura’s children Abigail and Micah. These grandchildren and great grand children brought Betty great joy.

Betty’s husband Frank passed 12 years ago and she lived with her son Tom for the remainder of her life. It was during this time that the family got to really know Betty apart from her husband and in this time Betty flourished. She was a person who was up for anything! She loved going out for dinner, vacations and family gatherings. If you met her, it was very difficult not to like her. On the way out of restaurants, she would stop at several tables to talk with strangers. She loved meeting people.  She could relate to people at every age and every level. Her family will dearly miss her. They will hold a celebration of her life at a future time.
