Betty Ann "Bet" (Davis) Schach

Betty Ann “Bet” (Davis) Schach, 65, of Mount Joy, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital.  Born Saturday, May 25, 1957, in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Bertha B. (Herter) Foster and stepdaughter of the late Edward W. Foster.  She was married to Frederick P. Schach.

Betty spent her free time taking care of everyone around her. She always had time to assist friends and neighbors with meals, advice and companionship. Something as simple as making time to open daily pill bottles for a neighbor was a cherished interaction for her. She was a friend to all.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children: Matthew J. Rafferty, of California, Cristy A. Rafferty and her companion, Alex Albright, of Middletown, and Kaitlin M. Schach and her companion, Sam Castorina, of Pottsville.  Also surviving are three grandchildren: Marissa A. Rafferty and her companion, Keiton Hack, of Elizabethtown, Eli J. Fritz of Mountville, and a baby grandson due any day, Baby Albright, of Middletown; four siblings: James K. Davis, married to Sharon, of Lockhart, TX, Gary L. Davis, married to Sally, of Elizabethtown, Jeffrey W. Davis, married to Sherry, of Johnstown, and Carol L. Putt and her companion, George Krider Jr., of Mount Joy, as well as Bet’s extended family and caring friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.
