Betty J. (Strickler) Landis

Betty J. Landis, age 79 from Palmyra went home to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, March 4, 2016 at home.

She was born Wednesday, July 1, 1936 in Lebanon to Alta (Fox) and Charles Strickler. She was the loving and devoted wife of Harrison M. Landis to whom she was married for 47 years. Betty held many jobs over the course of her life which included; the Hershey Dairy, Miller Chevrolet, Landis Shoe Factory and the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, but the job that she enjoyed most was the one that gave her the title of wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, playing games and just spending quality time with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her five children: son Michael Cornett husband of Linda, Patricia Eisenhauer wife of Pete, daughter Vicki (Cornett) Wright, son Tim Cornett husband of Jane and daughter Julie (Landis) Keefer wife of Shannon Keefer. She is also survived by her two sisters Evelyn Strickler and Joan Ulrich, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and nieces, nephews and friends whom she all loved dearly.

The family would like to extend their deepest thanks and appreciation to the wonderful team of people from Good Samaritan Hospice and the radiology techs who wrapped her up in love and compassion as she walked this journey.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday March, 9 2016 at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ronald Landis officiating. Viewing will be on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place in Hershey Cemetery.
