Betty K. (Koons) Hunter

Betty K. Hunter, 78, of Palmyra, PA passed away on June 19, 2021 while under the care of Hospice of Central PA.  Born on December 6, 1942 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Charlotte and Russell Koons.  Betty, a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, spent much of her life working and residing in and around the Pittsburgh area with her husband James O. Hunter.  She and James lived out their retirement years in Pine Knoll Shores, NC until his death in 2010.  Betty is survived by her brother Russell, stepdaughter Amy Zugell (Daniel) and stepgrandchildren Caroline Zugell, Thomas Zugell and Rosalind Hecht.  Betty will be laid to rest privately at Mt. Royal cemetery in Glenshaw, PA.
