Betty L. (Schenck) Hickey

Betty L. (Schenck) Hickey, 92, formerly of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at St. Anne’s Retirement Community, Columbia. Born Friday, October 17, 1924 in Royalton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Jane (Nesbit) Schenck. She was married to Thomas G. Hickey on July 16, 1945 until his death on January 11, 1995.
A homemaker for most of her life, Betty will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and proud grandmother. She loved life, laughter, her family and Jesus.
She will be lovingly missed by her daughters; Patricia L. Bernheisel, of Mechanicsburg; Janie L. Waite and husband, Ray, of Elizabethtown as well two granddaughters, Brandi and Katie Waite, both of Elizabethtown.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022, 717-367-1543. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Wrightsville. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10 AM until the time of the service.
