Betty L. (Grubb) Hetrick

Betty Louise (Grubb) Hetrick, 65, of Annville, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2012.  She was born Thursday, April 17, 1947 in Lebanon to the late Earl J. and Josephine S. (Pankake) Grubb.  She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, William “Bill” Hetrick.

She is survived by a son, Ivan D. Hetrick and wife Lauren of Pembroke, MA; a daughter, Amy E. Hetrick of Albion, WA; 2 grandsons, Nathan and Noah Hetrick of Pembroke, MA; a sister, Carol  Young; 2 brothers, Carl and Robert Grubb; 23 nieces and nephews.

Betty obtained her Associates degree at the PA Junior College of Medical Arts.  She worked as a medical assistant in the OR at both the Harrisburg and the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.  She later went on to run the heart lab at the Hershey Medical Center.  Betty loved books, was passionate about cooking, and was the best baker around, particularly her minced meat pies.  Most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 11 th at 11 AM at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Pastor George Robertson officiating.  Family and friends are invited for visitation from 10 AM until time of the services.  Burial will follow at Grantville Cemetery, Grantville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Association- Greater PA Chapter, 3544 North Progress Avenue, Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
