BETTE A. WOODS

Bette Arlene Gerber Woods, 89, passed quietly to be in a better place on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Hospice & Community Care of Lancaster County.

She was born on June 24, 1924 in Mt. Joy, PA to the late Evelyn Kuhn Gerber & Elwood Gerber. She was one of seven siblings, Evelyn, Sandra, Robert & Irvin, have preceded her in death.

Bette was a graduate of Mt. Joy High School. She owned her own business, Keystone Stampings for a period of years until she retired and moved with her late husband to Bowers Beach, DE.

She was the widow of Walter John Woods, Jr., who passed away in August 1995.

Bette is survived by her four children, Karen Klemme of Delaware, Ronald Woods of Felton, PA, Wanda Spannuth of Reading, PA, Rebecca Mullaney of Lancaster, PA, her two brothers, Christian Gerber and Charles Gerber both of Lancaster, PA. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday, September 23, 2013 at Calvary Bible Church, 629 Union School Road, Mt. Joy, PA 17552. Burial will be in Mt. Joy Cemetery.

Viewing will be from 10am until 11am on Monday, September 23, 2013 in the church.
