Barry Lee Keefer

Barry Lee Keefer, 77, of Middletown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 8, 2026. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late William and Emma “Geraldine” (Gingrich) Keefer. He was the loving husband of 56 years to Joyce (Staub) Keefer.

Barry enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and archery. Ever the outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing, snaring, and trapping. He could often be found riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Barry was a member of the Anglers and Hunters Club, Middletown VFW, Middletown American Legion, Middletown Legion Riders Club, and the 35th Infantry Regiment Association.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Barry Lee Keefer, II (Robbin), and Alexix Leigh Hunter (Howard); three grandchildren, Devin Lutz, Jacquelyn Keefer, and Jessica Keefer; and sister-in-law, Donna Keefer. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jacob Keefer; and brother, Rodney Keefer; along with his parents.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 11AM at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Burial will follow at Hillsdale Cemetery, Middletown, PA. Family and friends are invited to view from 10AM until the start of the service. An additional time of viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 12, from 6-8PM.
