Barbara E. Stonesifer passed into eternal peace May 22, 2025 at Friends of Caroline Hospice in Ridgeland, South Carolina.
Barbara Ellen Williams was born June 20, 1939 in Springfield, IL. She was the beloved daughter of Ken Williams and Maxine Hart. Barbara showed a remarkable gift for music early in life which would later come to be a tremendous joy for many.
She later moved to Kansas where she wed a young Naval Officer in 1958 and lived in such places as Rhode Island, New Zealand, Wisconsin, and then for 50 years in Pennsylvania. A piano tuner discovered her gift and ear for music which led to a successful career as a pianist bringing much joy to all who heard her across decades. She was also an artist, and her faith brought her much comfort.
She divorced in 1979 and later met her second husband, Raymond Stonesifer and the two were married 30 years until his death in 2015. Barbara moved to South Carolina in early 2024 to be close to her daughter on Hilton Head Island.
She is survived by three children; John Jaminet II of Wisconsin, Susan Sterkenberg of South Carolina, and Barry Jaminet of North Carolina. Also surviving her are sister Anne Smith of Illinois, brother Les of Missouri, nephew Rick, two nieces LeAnne and Jennifer as well as five grandchildren, and a great grandbaby due October of this year to Zack and Amanda Sterkenberg. She was preceded in death by her older brother Kenny Williams.
She will be interred at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Palmyra PA next to Raymond Stonesifer in a private ceremony. Flowers and cards can be sent to the family at 47 Pineland Road, Hilton Head, SC. 29926 care of Susan Sterkenberg.
