Barbara Jo Rapp
September 25, 1947 — August 31, 2025
Barbara Jo Rapp, 77, of Marietta passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 31, 2025. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred (Newcomer) DiLucia. She was the loving wife of Chester C. Rapp for 60 years.
Barbara and Chester proudly cleaned the Marietta Laundromat for many years together. She loved her dog, Dexter, flower gardening, and watching Days of Our Lives. Above all, she loved her family, always hosting and cooking for holiday events to get everyone together.
In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Jackie Mundorff and Jodie Parkinson (Eric); and three siblings, Kay Smith, Joseph DiLucia, Jr., and Jean Gabbard. She was preceded in death by son-in-law, Charles W. Mundorff, Jr.; and two siblings, Josephine DiLucia and Donald DiLucia; along with her parents.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 1PM at Smedley-Finkenbinder Funeral Home and Crematory, 29 North Gay Street, Marietta, PA 17547. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens, Columbia, PA. Family and friends are invited to view from 12PM until the time of service.
