Barbara L. Nissley

Barbara Lucile (Krieder) Nissley, 92, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully at the Londonderry Village, Palmyra, on December 20, 2025. She was born February 28, 1933 in Cambelltown to the late Herbert and Emma (Brubaker) Kreider. She was predeceased by her husband since September of 2020, Clarence E. Nissley.

Barbara was a Hershey High School graduate and went to Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Once she had her two children her true passion was being a stay-at-home mother. She was a faithful member of the Encounter Church, Palmyra. One of her great joys was music which included singing in the church choir all her life. Traveling with her husband was one of her great joys, in addition to hosting Christmas for her family and being at family reunions. More than anything she was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.

She is survived by her sons, Gregory Nissley and Rodney Nissley; grandchildren, Jordan, Quincy, Cole, Elyse, Elynn, and Ian Nissley; and brother, Dale Kreider. She is predeceased by her sisters, Nancy Hoke and Katherine Kreider.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 10 AM at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. A time of visitation will be held from 9 AM until the start of the service. Burial will follow the service at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
