Barbara Ann (Christian) Detz, 68, of Elizabethtown, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Lancaster General Hospital. She was born Monday, February 10, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Robert Christian and Annette (Kruse) Christian-Dunn. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 24 years, Mel E. Detz.
She was a talented artist and enjoyed sharing her gifts with the special people in her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was compassionate, giving, and showed her love through caring for others, and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by a son, Paul Riti and wife Kari and their children Jacob and Logan Riti; three granddaughters, Amanda and Pricilla Rodriguez, and Tammy Wagner; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Dominique Riti; a daughter, Barbara Ann Evans; and a brother and a sister.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 6th at 11 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1840 Marshall Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 with Rev. Ted Keating as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens, Columbia. Family and friends are invited for viewing on Friday from 9 to 10:30 AM at Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown.
