Bani Gbadyu, 35, of Lebanon, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA. Born on Monday, August 31, 1987 to Digoa Gbadyu and Kebbeh Freeman in Liberia, West Africa. He arrived in the US alongside his brother, Emmanuel Gbadyu, as a young child and grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The first D1 football recruit to come out of Quince Orchard High School, Bani established himself as an elite athlete, while also endearing himself to teammates and families in the community. As a Penn State linebacker, Bani committed himself to being a reliable contributor to the team. A dedicated hard worker, Bani’s personable nature helped him rise to become one of the top real estate professionals in the region. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting Bani would tell you about his contagious smile and his ability to captivate you in conversation. The attention would naturally gravitate to Bani’s joyful, larger than life personality and infectious laugh whenever he entered a room.
Bani would say his greatest accomplishment was his family. He met the love of his life, Molly R. (Cramer) Gbadyu at Penn State. Molly’s steady calm complimented Bani’s lively energy and the two were married on July 11, 2014. They have three beautiful children, Trey (6), Aspen (4), and Arlow (1) whom he could not have been more proud of. The consummate family-man, Bani regularly planned trips to Disney World and enjoyed camping in their RV.
Bani is survived by his wife, Molly Gbadyu, and their three children- Trey, Aspen and Arlow. In addition, his father Digoa Gbadyu, mother Kebbeh Freeman, parents-in-law Robert and Teresa Cramer, grandmother Elizabeth Gbadyu, brother Emmanuel Gbadyu, sisters Petra Boateng and Ramielle Gbadyu, and extended family, The Mancusos.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 12PM at the Encounter Church of Palmyra (220 Campbelltown Rd. Palmyra, PA, 17078).
