Arthur L. Dupler

Arthur L. Dupler, 96, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Maytown and Reading, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2012 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. Born in Conoy Twp., he was the son of the late Harry S. and Laura (Lehman) Dupler. He was the husband of the late Betty L. (Ierley) Dupler.
Art was a member of Hope United Methodist Church in Akron. For most of his life he was the owner/operator of Dupler’s Grocery Store in Maytown, and for many years was the Sexton at Holy Cross United Methodist Church in Reading. Art was a graduate of Maytown High School, loved music and sang in several quartets.
He is survived by four children: Laura (Lou), wife of Keith Murphy, Elizabethtown; Jay Dupler, Florida; Phyllis Umbenhauer, Reading and Harold Dupler, Kempton, PA; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Art was preceded in death by a sister Anna Mae Masterson.
Services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
