Arlene Louise (Kirkpatrick) Fitzwater

Arlene Louise (Kirkpatrick) Fitzwater, 91, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Masonic Village.  Born Friday, November 26, 1926 in Madison Township, Perry County, PA, she was daughter of the late James F. and Mary Jane  (Hockenberry) Kirkpatrick.  She was married to Douglas L. Fitzwater on September 22, 1945.  Douglas died on January 6, 2011.

Arlene was a graduate of Bainbridge High School.  She worked at Walker’s Jewelry Store in Elizabethtown as well as NCR in Mount Joy.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda L. Aldinger, wife of Stanley, of Elizabethtown; two grandchildren: Anthony Aldinger, husband of Emily and Michael Aldinger, husband of Dawn as well as four great grandchildren: Cody, Skyler, Paige and Sara.  She was preceded in death by 9 siblings and 3 half-siblings.

Private interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Arlene’s memory to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
