Antonio Raymond Rios

Antonio “Tony” Raymond Rios, 17, of Muir, passed away as a result of an automobile accident on Sunday, July 13, 2014 in Porter Township.  He was born Sunday, October 6, 1996 in Harrisburg to Rafael J. Rios, Sr. and Erica (Goodman) Snavely.

Tony was entering his senior year at Williams Valley High School where he was a member of the football team, #38, and the wrestling team.  He was a charismatic young man, full of life and wit.  His smile was contagious and ever present, as were his endless questions and willingness to help others.  His love for others was driving his desire to go to college to become a nurse.  He loved the outdoors, four wheeling, and the Philadelphia Eagles.  All who knew him will miss his zest for life, love and friendship.

In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by a brother, Rafael J. Rios, Jr. of Middletown; a sister, Breanna L. Sgrignoli of York; maternal grandparents, Judy A. Goodman of Middletown and Raymond J. Snavely, III of Mississippi; an uncle, Jonathan R. Snavely and wife Miranda of Hershey; an aunt, Lori Andreozzi and husband Mark of Lebanon; numerous cousins.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 17 ^th at 6:30 PM at Middletown First Church of God, 245 W. High St., Middletown, PA 17057 with Pastor Kimberly B. Shifler officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111.  Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 has been entrusted with the arrangements.
