Anthony “Tony” Aaron Manari, 64, of Palmyra, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013 at home with his loving family by his side. He was born Sunday, June 20, 1948 in Hershey to the late Renaldo A. and Dorothy M. (Fackler) Manari. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Barbara (Smith) Manari.
Tony graduated from Palmyra High School in 1966 and worked for Bethlehem Steel which later became ArcelorMittal for 47 years. He enjoyed camping, boating at Raystown Lake, and vacations to Dewey Beach. He was somewhat of a self proclaimed weather aficionado, had an eclectic taste for music and movies, and had a passion for gadgets and tools for any task. He was a fixer of anything, and a lover of animals, especially cats. Most of all Tony was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by many.
He is survived by two daughters, Christina R. Manari and companion David M. Tressler of Jonestown, and Alisa A. Manari and fiancé Travis R. Warlow of Middletown; a brother, James R. Manari and wife Janice of Hershey; a sister, Anne M. Faust and husband Kevin of Palmyra; a granddaughter, Chole A. Tressler; three nephews, Tony Venuti, James C. Manari, Matthew K. Faust; a niece, Ashley A. Manari. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph G. Manari.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 15th at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 245 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 with Father James F. Podlesny as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Hershey Cemetery, Hershey. Family and friends are invited for viewing on Friday, June 14th from 7 to 9 PM at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra.
