Anne "Tess" (Taylor) Martin

Anne “Tess” Martin, 77, of Palmyra, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at the Hershey Medical Center. She was born on Tuesday, January 28, 1947 to the late Berard J. and Anne (Dunne) Taylor. She is survived by her loving husband, William Martin, Jr.

Tess was a graduate of Williamstown Catholic High School; she continued her education at Pottsville School of Nursing and Penn State University. She was very active in her church and was known to the church community as a “sparkler”. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling to both Myrtle Beach and Maine. More than anything she was a loving wife and friend.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother-in-law: Gary Martin and wife Kathleen; niece and nephew, Mandy Bara and Todd Martin; additional family, Kathy Laguna, Devon Gingrich, and Kayla (McKain) Grad; beloved golden Josephine; and numerous extended family including cousins in Ireland.

A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 11 AM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 300 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. A time of visitation will be held from 10 AM until the start of mass. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
