ANNA MAE SNYDER RISSER

Anna Mae Snyder Risser, 94, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 in the Brethren Village, Lancaster.

She was born on April 8, 1919 in Mount Joy Township, PA to the late Christian H. and Minnie T. (Dupler) Brosey.

She worked at several local garment companies, last being Hestico.

Anna was a member of Bainbridge Church of God and over the years attended services at many of the local churches. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and loved to sew.

She was the widow of Harry W. Risser.

Surviving are her two daughters Jeanie A. Snyder of Merritt Island, FL, Marian L. Newhouse and her husband Robert of Harrisburg, her two sons James H. Snyder of Elizabethtown, Edward J. Snyder and his wife Sylvia of Lancaster, five stepchildren Harry Risser of New Providence, Joyce Kuzis of Elizabethtown, Cindy Ebersole of Elizabethtown, Sandy Black of Leola, Larry Risser of Elizabethtown, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 18 step grandchildren, 20 step great grandchildren, and one step great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her two brothers Herbert Brosey, Lester Brosey, her sister Iva Miece, her two grandsons Michael Snyder and James Snyder, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday, August 5, 2013 in the Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. of Elizabethtown. Burial will be in Good’s Mennonite Cemetery.

Viewing will be from 10am until 11am on Monday in the funeral home.
