Anna May (Emenheiser) Nix Koser

Anna May Koser, formerly of Mount Joy went home to be with the Lord on October 13, 2014 at United Zion Retirement Community, Lititz, PA.

Born in Mount Joy Township, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Annie (Heisey) Emenheiser. She was the wife of the late Osborne E. Nix who died in 1964 and the late Arthur N. Koser who died in 2001.

She retired at the age of 76 from Elizabethtown College Dining Services. Anna May loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her friends.

She enjoyed baking, cooking, knitting, and taking care of her flowers. She was still baking pies and cookies at the age of 93.

She was a member of the Mount Pleasant Brethren in Christ Church.

She is survived by a son, Herbert W.E. Nix, Sr. husband of Jane (Kesler) Nix of New Holland and a daughter Virginia (Nix) Hoover wife of Pastor Glenn A. Hoover of Brownstown, three grandsons: Herbert W.E. Nix, Jr. with great grandchildren Katlyn and Kevin, Joel D. Nix, and Michael A. Nix. Also surviving are 6 step grandchildren, 19 step great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers Howard, Maurice, Paul, Harry and Ray and sisters Lizzie Thompson and Stella.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 10:30am on Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Mount Pleasant Brethren in Christ Church, 1756 Mount Pleasant Road, Mount Joy, PA, with Pastor John Keefer officiating. Viewings will be from 6pm until 8pm on Thursday, October 16, 2014 and from 9:30am until 10:30am on Friday, October 17, 2014 in the church.

Interment will take place at the Mount Pleasant Brethren in Christ Church Cemetery following the service.
