Anita Jane (Weber) Bomgardner-Risser

Anita Jane (Weber) Bomgardner-Risser, 88, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Londonderry Village, Palmyra. She was born December 7, 1932, in Hershey to the late Jacob A. and Gladys (Kohr) Weber. She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert L. Bomgardner, and her second husband, Norman H. Risser.

Anita graduated from Hershey High School in 1951 and attended Hershey Junior College. She began her professional career with Dauphin Deposit Bank working in its trust department. She retired from the PA State Insurance Department where she served as a policy examiner. She was a member of Palmyra First United Methodist Church. Her determination, creativity, and friendly demeanor will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Robert L. Bomgardner and his wife Ann Marie Morris of New York City and by her daughter, Bonita S. Golla and husband Edward of Mechanicsburg. She is also survived by her sister, Marilyn Beeman of Carlisle, her step-daughter, Barbara Risser and husband Glenn of Palmyra, and her step-son, David Risser and wife Traci of Annville.

Family and friends are welcome to attend the viewing, funeral service, and burial. Services will be held Wednesday, August 25th beginning at 10:30 AM at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078.  The burial will follow the service at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
