Alice Christine “Chris” Atkinson, 79, of Marietta, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Born on October 6,1946 in Audubon, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Alice (Hopkins) Edmiston. She was the loving wife of John R. Atkinson, III, whom she married on September 27, 1986.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Michele Zurzolo, wife of Paul, and Christine Faralli; grandchildren, David, Bill, Lindsay; and great-grandchildren, Mia, Lia, Michael, Hunter, and Lexi.
A celebration of Chris’ life will be held at a later date.
