Albert H. Lancaster

Albert H. Lancaster, 88, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, surrounded by his loving family at his home in West Donegal Township.  Born Saturday, February 18, 1933, in Elizabethtown, he was the son of the late Albert E. and Catherine (Sweigart) Lancaster.

A Veteran, Al proudly served with the U.S. Army (4 years active duty and 4 years reserve) during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Berlin, Germany.

In May of 1962, he met Marian L. “Mim” Walmer and on September 15, 1962, they were married and spent the next 59 years together.  After 39 years of marriage, Al and Mim went to Hawaii for a ten-day cruise as their “honeymoon”.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Elmer A. Lancaster, married to Wendy, of Bainbridge, Burt L. Lancaster, married to Donna, of Elizabethtown, Billie Reigle, married to Cameron, of Middletown, and a son from a previous marriage, James Lancaster, of Marietta.  Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Robert Lancaster, married to June, of Mount Joy; a sister, Laura Longenecker, married to Dave, of Mount Joy, numerous nieces and nephews as well as Al’s extended family and caring friends.  In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Amanda Lancaster; two sisters: Pauline Haldeman and Kathleen Bair and a nephew, Barry Bair.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 5-7 PM at the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.  Private interment will take place at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with military honors.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.
