Albert J. Hoehn

Albert J. Hoehn of Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, was received into Heaven by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, September 13, 2026. Born on November 7, 1926 in Bellmore, NY, he was the son of the late Frederick and Julia (Braunlich) Hoehn. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty, in March 2022.

Al graduated from Wellington C. Mepham High School in North Bellmore, NY. He worked for Burlington Northern Santa Fe, retiring as the AVP-Sales after an illustrious 40-year career. He spent many years as an avid golfer and enjoyed several years of being a course marshal and club historian at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra, FL.

He was a member of the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elizabethtown. Over their 46 years of marriage, Al and Betty sang in their church choirs when living in CT, MN, FL, and PA. They both enjoyed traveling, entertaining, and spending time with family.

Al is survived by two granddaughters, Diana, wife of Gene Green of Bridgeville, DE, and Dale, wife of DJ Jones, Sinking Spring; and their two daughters, Darcie and Delaney Jones. He is also survived by many beloved nieces-in-law and nephews-in-law. His family is deeply grateful to Carol LeVan, his devoted niece-in-law, who selflessly served as Al’s power of attorney and provided him with companionship and support through her frequent visits.

In addition to Betty and his parents, Al was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra (Hoehn) DeNearing; her mother, Elizabeth (Hartman) Hoehn; and a brother, William Hoehn.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the memorial service on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 11AM at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 125 East High Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Interment will follow in the adjoining church Memorial Garden.
