Adam Ephraim Light, 96, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 8, 2015 in the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home.  He was born Thursday, May 22, 1919 in Heidelberg Twp to the late Harry B. and Alice (Geib) Light.

He proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII.  Adam was a faithful member of Palmyra Church of the Brethren and was the groundskeeper at Pinewoods Church Camp.  He bowled in two bowling leagues until recently and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan.  He enjoyed hunting while spending time at Brookside Retreat Cabin.  Most importantly Adam was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Florence (Messick) Light; 2 sons, Harry Light and wife Dorothy of Columbia and Robert Light and wife Carol of Chalfont; 3 daughters, Louise Barnhart and husband Dennis of Loganville, GA, Nancy Bucher of Annville, and Karen Fahnestock and husband Ray of Lebanon; a daughter-in-law, Pearl Light of Elizabethtown; a step-daughter, Carolyn Nave of Parkesburg; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a wife, Marie (King) Light; a son, Donald Light; 2 brothers, Mark and Earl Light; and 2 sisters, Laura Smith and Mary Wagner.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 12th at 10:30 AM at Palmyra Church of the Brethren, 45 N. Chestnut St., Palmyra 17078 with Pastor Dennis Lohr officiating.  Family and friends are invited for viewing on Thursday, June 11th from 6-8 PM at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078, and on Friday at the church from 9 AM until time of the service.  Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Annville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Palmyra Church of the Brethren.
