William A. Sheetz

William Allen Sheetz, 92, of Palmyra, joined his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 23, 2013 at Columbia Cottage. He was born Thursday, May 12, 1921 in Palmyra to the late Ralph A. and Ella (Capp) Sheetz. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 66 years, Betty L. (Hershberger) Sheetz, in 2008.

He graduated from Palmyra High School in 1939 and later Lebanon Business School. He served in the US Army Air Corp during WWII and was a lifelong member of Gravel Hill United Methodist Church. A salesman at heart, he sold real estate for over 45 years, owning and operating William A. Sheetz Real Estate, and was past president of the Lebanon County Realtors Association. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by two daughters, Vicki Clements and husband Alfred of N. Londonderry Twp., Kristi Hossler and husband Ronald of Palmyra; two sons, Gary Sheetz and wife Karen of Howard, OH, Kerby A. Sheetz of Palmyra,; seven grandchildren, Todd Sheetz, Brian Sheetz, Renelle McDonald, Andrew Clements, Alissa Timpone, Christopher Sheetz, Josh Hossler; 14 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Kevin Sheetz; a brother, Lloyd V. Sheetz.

Family and friends are invited for viewing on Friday, September 27 ^th from 10 to 11 AM at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM with Rev. Douglas Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
