Vincent J. Mizak

Vincent J. Mizak, 68, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 14, 2021 at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital.  Born Thursday, January 15, 1953, in Annville, he was the son of the late Michael J. and Mary A. (Allushuski) Mizak.  He was married to Deborah Mizak on May 14, 1988.

Vincent graduated from Mount Carmel Area School District and Susquehanna University. He was a Licensed Certificated Public Accountant.  Vincent worked for over 23 years as the Vice President of Finance & Accounting for Country Meadows Retirement Communities, Hershey.  He was also employed by Lancaster General Hospital, Ernst and Whinney, Blue Cross of Northeast PA, Pennsylvania Department of Auditor General, Bureau of Tax and Revenue Audits and Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, Bureau of Audits.   He also taught Financial and Managerial Accounting classes for Penn State University Harrisburg, Office of Continuing Education.  Vince also served as the Executive Committee Treasurer for the Lancaster County Chapter of the American Red Cross.  He was also a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Elizabethtown

In addition to his wife of over 33 years, he is survived by two children: Michael J. Mizak, of Elizabethtown, and Brianna M. Mizak, of Elizabethtown and her companion, Matthew D. Ferruzza, of Mount Joy.  Also surviving are three siblings: Michael Mizak, Jr. married to Margaret, of Reading, Maryann Wonsik, married to Michael, of Mount Carmel and Stephen Mizak, married to Susan, of Hummelstown, as well as Vincent’s extended family and caring friends.

A viewing will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church, 904 Mill Road, Elizabethtown, PA  17022 on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 10-11 AM.  Private interment will take place in Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown, at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.
