Michael T. Rocque

Michael Tracy Rocque, 56, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2014 in his home.  He was born Thursday, June 6, 1957 in France to Joseph D. and Sharlene M. (Sharron) Rocque.  He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 36 ½ years, Mary A. (LeBeau) Rocque, and two daughters, Tracy A. Frey and husband Eric of Pennsburg, and Carly J. Rocque of Palmyra.

Mike graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1975, earned a bachelor’s degree from North Adams State College in 1982, and was the manager at Jack Williams Tire and Auto in Palmyra.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors working in the yard, fishing, and golfing.  He was an avid cook and took joy in preparing meals for his family and friends. Mike was very handy around the house and had a tool for any task at hand.  Most of all, he was a loving husband and father who gave his heart and his time to his family.

In addition to his loving wife and daughters and parents, he is survived by a step-mother, Evelyn Rocque of FL, two sisters, and a large extended family.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd at 12 Noon at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 with Father James F. Podlesny officiating.  Family and friends are invited for visitation from 10:00 AM until time of the service.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
