Janice C. (Shope) Myers

Janice C. Myers, 68, of Marietta, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy.  Janice was born on December 3, 1946 in Columbia to the late John Emmanuel and Lois Jean (Smuch) Shope. She was married to the late James D. Myers, Jr. who passed away in 2012.

She was a member of Community Bible Church where she liked to spend her time helping out around the church. Janice was a courteous woman, who had a kind heart, who will be fondly missed by her family.

Janice is survived by a son, Joseph Kauffman of Virginia, two grandchildren, Krista Brandt of Elizabethtown and Joey Brandt of Hummelstown, one great grandchild, and six siblings; Paul Shope, husband of Cheryl, of Lancaster, Dave Shope, husband of Dianne, of Columbia, John Shope of Ohio, Mary Jo Schnaithmann, wife of Paul, of Maytown, Mark Shope of Marietta, and Dean Shope of Gordonville. She was predeceased by her son John Kauffman in 1994.

Private burial will take place in Maytown Union Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
