Gregory T. Abbott

Gregory Talbot Abbott, 54, of Palmyra, passed into the loving arms of his Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 3, 2014.  He was born Saturday, March 19, 1960 in Port Jervis, NY to Russell T. and Marlene R. (Hartwig) Abbott.

Greg was a generous, caring person who was always willing to help others.  .  He was employed at Quest Inc. in Lebanon.  He was a member of the Evangelical Free Church of Hershey; where he was actively involved in Kings Corps and the Bell Choir.  Greg participated in and won several medals in track and field events thru the Special Olympics, as well as winning several trophies in his bowling league.  Most importantly he was a loving son, brother, and uncle and will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister Diane Abbadusky and husband Dan and their children, Matthew Abbadusky and his wife Christel, Danielle Abbadusky, Kristyn Hoffman and husband Brad, and Jon and Dave Abbadusky; his sister Cathy Schrecengost and her children Abby, Andrew, and Alex Schrecengost; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He also loved his little Maltipoo dog, Molly.  He is predeceased by maternal grandmother, Ruth Hartwig; and paternal grandfather, Russell V. Abbott.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 9 ^th at the Evangelical Free Church of Hershey, 330 Hilltop Rd, Hummelstown, PA 17036 with Pastor Omar Zook officiating.  Family and friends are invited for viewing at 10 AM and the service at 11 AM.  Burial will follow in Fishburn Cemetery, Hershey.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078.
