Deborah A. (White), 66, of Palmyra, passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at her home in Lebanon, PA. Born in Plattsburgh, NY, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Ellen Coryer.

Deborah spent her adult life caring for others in need. Her calling was to help those with substance abuse and mental illness. Deborah attended college in Burlington, VT at Trinity College. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Through her hard work and dedication, she graduated with honors all while raising two young men. Her passion for helping others and love of people guided her to a career working as a substance abuse counselor for the New York State Correctional System.

When Deborah wasn’t helping others, she loved to spend time at the beach, a place that she felt truly centered. She also liked to shop, do crafts, spend time with her friends, and had a passion for writing. Deborah liked to write about self-reflection, poems, and family, who she had a strong love for. She will be remembered as a woman who was deeply religious, and who lived life exactly the way she wanted; a one of a kind free spirit who was fun to be around and who was endlessly caring and forgiving.

She is survived by two sons: Francis Coryer of NC and Michael Coryer, husband of Carrie, of Palmyra; two grandsons, Evan & Carson; and six siblings Ronald, Randy, Donnie, Danny, Michael, and Wendy Atkinson

A Mass will be held at St. Peter’s Church on November 17, 2018 at 10 AM at 114 Cornelia St. in Plattsburgh NY, with Monsignor Dupree as celebrant. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078.

Flowers may be received at the church.
