David Allen Strong

David Allen Strong

David Allen Strong, 70, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015 at Hershey Medical Center.  Born in Erie, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Richard C. and Kathleen G. (Meyer) Strong. His wife of 22 years, Yaeko (Tamaki) Strong will miss him dearly.

David served in the United State Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran. After coming home he worked in the telephone industry and later served as Director of Administration for Stambaugh’s Aviation Services at the Harrisburg International Airport. He will be remembered as a man with a kind heart, a hard worker, and someone who truly cared about others and loved children, especially his own.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children: John M. Forsyth, husband of Colleen of Lancaster, Scott A. Strong, husband of Amy of Millerstown, David M. Forsyth, husband of Maria of Lancaster, Mark D. Strong, husband of Crystal of Texas, and Sonja Forsyth of Mount Joy.

A Graveside Service for immediate family will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
